SHAID TREE ANIMAL SHELTER
MAKING A DIFFERENCE, ONE LIFE AT A TIME
Founded in 1986, SHAID Tree Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter dedicated to providing safe, compassionate care for animals in need. We offer a temporary haven for stray, abandoned, and surrendered pets—working tirelessly to match them with loving, responsible homes.
In 2024, SHAID proudly gave 502 cats and kittens and 27 dogs and puppies a second chance. Each animal that came through our doors received the medical care, compassion, and attention they needed to begin a new chapter in a loving home.
Every SHAID animal is fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. From the moment they arrive—no matter how sick or injured—we’re committed to providing the care they deserve.
This past year, our team performed 498 surgeries, ranging from routine procedures to urgent, life-saving interventions like dental extractions, eye repairs, and amputations. These critical services are made possible by the tireless efforts of our skilled staff and compassionate volunteers.
Many of our animals also found comfort in foster homes, where they could heal and grow in a supportive environment before adoption—thanks to our incredible network of foster caregivers.
As a registered charity with no government funding, SHAID depends entirely on the generosity of our community. Your support powers every rescue, every surgery, and every happily-ever-after.
Thank you for helping us be a safe haven for animals in need!
