In 2023 SHAID took in 492 cats and 32 dogs and supported more animals with life saving surgery than ever before. 499 surgeries took place in 2023 including amputations, full dental removal and eye removal to the routine spaying and neutering of pets and strays, these surgeries were essential and expensive. SHAID is a registered charity that receives no government funding, thus we rely entirely on support from our community.
